This was shot here last summer. It has Robert Duvall and Lucas Black in it.

It was fun to watch them shooting this here. It was record heat; usually 102-106 degrees almost every single day and the California boys were having a pretty hard time of it. My daughter and I ended up in a few shots of the final, I think, but not in this trailer. Anyway, thought you guys might like to see what the country looks like out here where I live.

Nice looking country side Roger - you must have a pretty high profile in such a small town! As for the film - man that looked formulaic - the story line seems almost identical to Doc Hollywood, and Cars --- and the trailer seemed to give away too much as well - don't need to see the film now! Anyway the photography and the countryside looks good

Re: Trailer for film shot here in Utopia
That ought to bring in some travellers this summer?
Crashing the fence or other bad luck is indeed a bit a of standard to get stopped over at an unexpected place. Like Cars or one film with doctors and whatmore.
Hopefully the travellers don't wreck the fences.
Never been to Texas. Is it really that green in Texas?
Would expect more dried or desertland. But then, that is only from books or documentaries
When travelling through New-England some ten years ago I met a few friendly 'folks' from Texas who were rather fond of the blue skies over their home towns. In other places people get clouds, now and then or more often. Which seemed to put them off in summer

Roger, I think there's a movie in there for you about a filmmaker that loses his mojo and he stumbles on to you in Utopia and you teach him the joys of Super 8 and miniature making and he goes onto win an Oscar on his next picture...you could even sneak in some painting just like this one!
