... The 8mm one goes for about fifteen quid, on eBay, while the 16mm goes for maybe thirty - more sometimes if they're in superb condition ...

A few years back someone was dumping Super 8mm Minette splicers on ebay for about $50 as I recall...wonderful device - best viewing platform you can imagine - so bright and crisp.

There isn't a framing adjustment on Zeiss Moviscop viewers, just a focus adjustment.
