In answer to my initial request, Huntley asked about my collection, and so I sent him a list of my Bolex items. I've never received any newsletters or any further communication from Huntley even though I repeated my request and offered to pay postage if the newsletters were distributed by regular mail. I'm aware of a request made by another Bolex collector that's gone unanswered by Huntley.I have been collecting Paillard Bolex cameras and equipment for many years and people have often asked me why? I guess anybody who becomes a collector understands how a passion can grow. For me I like collecting things which represent fine mechanical engineering and craftsmanship. I guess both cameras and watches are excellent examples of this. Bolex cameras combine both these aspects in one. It is also comforting to know that I am not the only person who feels this way! I have started and been running a worldwide club for fellow Bolex collectors and users 'The Bolex Register of Australia' and publish a newsletter twice a year. Please contact me if you would be interested in joining. I am also particularly interested in aquiring any old Bolex dealer/shop display or advertising signage. . . .
Has anyone ever asked for and received one of these newsletters?
