Saw the trailer on the Superbowl for "Super 8" - any thoughts on this?

Kodak should have invested a million dollars on a commercial for their Super 8mm line during the Super Bowl.

Or at least sponsor the half-time show... :wink:

There was a film called "8mm" many years ago. A movie about snuff movies. Quite chilling.

Am looking forward to seeing "Super8" in terms of how it reconstructs a particular era (the 70s), but in particular what role (if any) the Super8 film format plays in the film. All I keep thinking about is some weird photochemical reaction that accidentally takes place - opening a portal into another dimension - through which a monster comes ... but if that's not it - I'll make that one myself.
