It may be worth saving. You never know what the future will bring. Maybe someone will come up with a way to process Kodachrome.

The only affordable way to use it is to process it yourself in buckets, there are all sorts of advice on this on the web or this forum. You could even try the famous coffee method!

Sad though it might seem, Kodachrome is DEAD (that's D-E-A-D);
why can't we be content to let it rest in peace and use valuable Forum space for MEANINGFUL discussion?
What's going on here would be better off on "Twitter" (which was specifically designed for twits).

Seems like theres two options:
Keep it, as a memory.
Or try to process it myself.
I might do both, depends on what i find out after looking for processing tips.
Thank you for your inputs everyone!

Toss them out. Or, keep them to test camera operation under load, etc. But, don't even consider getting them processed.

What?! Seriously? Good suggestion to use them for testing cameras, and as others of have said, maybe good to experiment with or even just keep on the shelf as mementos. But throw them out? Come on.super8man wrote:Toss them out...

Re: Just found 3 kodachrome 40 rolls.
It aint worth it (to have some kind of funky $$$$ processing). Heck, it isn't even worth the time/chemicals to do it at home. Spend the whopping $14 per cart and buy brand new TriX or PlusX carts and go with that. Then spend $10 to have them processed professionally. If $25 is too much, then for sure, toss them out.
And yes, toss them out if not intending to use them for testing.
Of course, you could sell them on ebay but I think the market would quickly let your know their intrinsic worth.
Cheers,
Mike
