Tri-X / Plus-X - but where?

Post by mr_x »

Hi,

For the first time since i have been using Super8 i can find no UK Tri-X or Plus-X on the Bay (save one rather expensive supplier). What does this mean please?

Silverprint and Widescreen still advertise both but neither store comes up when these film stocks are googled, so i am mighty suspicious :-o

Any ideas please?

Thanks,

Ric

Hi Ric,

I've got plenty of Tri-X for sale, and there are no issues with supply.

Plus-X is discontinued, so you'll be lucky to find any.

We still have a few Plus-X rolls in stock, but they are getting harder and harder to find nowadays.

Thanks.

Unfortunately UK/EU postage costs are so prohibitive now i just couldn't consider importing film as I once did. Similarly the international postal service has effectively stopped me experimenting further with Single 8 since this gauge is no longer available in the UK. I did suggest to Silverprint (Waterloo) that they import some of the new Cinevia single 8 stocks but i guess they are unwilling to gamble especially in the light of the current economic downturn.

At least Tri-X is still available here, which is very good news

Nano Labs in Melbourne Australia may have some PlusX remaining. I bought a roll of it a couple of weeks ago from there.
