Hi,
just read the manual for the Schneider Kreuznach Ultra Wide Lens III UWL. Unfortunately it only describes how you set it up with an Nizo camera. So what I'm wondering is how you sit it up with an Beaulieu Optivaron 6-66?
I have read if I remember correctly, that you would be able to zoom through the lens within macro settings, and keep the focus plane. Or do I have to set the macro settings right in the widest angle, when the UWL is attached? Since it's so hard to measure the correct macro setting, I wonder how you people have manage with an UWL III and Optivaron 6-66?
Best,
David
Edit:
Noticed that you can't zoom through whit the UWL attached.

When using the UWL III, I set the Optivaron 6-66mm f/1.8 lens to its 6mm focal length, attach the conversion lens, and set focus using the macrocinematography control on the barrel of the lens near the camera body. This is a finicky adjustment, especially as the macrocinematography control is easily dislodged from the desired setting.
Recently, I've acquired a Century 2.5mm f/1.8 fixed focus C-mount lens that provides a wider field of view than the Optivaron + UWL III combination and is easier to use. Like the Optivaron + UWL III, however, it's just about useless when shooting contra-jour.

Hi,
I found it very hard to adjust since it easily flanks over to an lose position. Mostly it's stiff, but when it's adjusted correctly only a minimal touch will set it lose. The macro control should be more tight I think.

David
