I need to get a few ND filters to use with my Nizo Pro. If I was to put a filter on the camera before I put on the wide angle lens, is the most likely problem vignetting or will it mess up the focus due to the wide angle needing the macro setting?
Maybe there are other issues that I am unaware of, am not sure.
thanks
Can I use an ND filter before my wide angle lens?

If you use foils you could fix one in front of the lens. But don't use holders which protrude past the rim
You could also test with a filter between lens and the UWL. May very well work as the UWL has a built in stepring for two diameters and can cope with variable distances to the frontlens.
Cutting a foil to a fitting diameter and inserting it into the base of the UWL might also work. But then the filter only suits the UWL...

I use an ND filter before attaching the UWL. To aviod vignetting on my Bauer A512 I always use a step up ring which is sort of permanatly attached to the camera and there's no vignetting issues, without the step up rings there always was vignetting with this camera. I have tried step up rings other cameras to attach lens hoods and filters and again there's been no vignetting.
