Is notched as 250 "D" if I'm correct. You should cut the notch to enable the internal filter for outdoors correction, or screw an external one on the lens.
(250D is the same asa notch length that 400T)

But since most people use it in lighting conditions that are too low for even 500T it shouldn't matter. In low light it will be wide open anyway.

It's still notched as 640T.
By the way, the Notchruler is not an optimal tool, but more on that later.

EDIT:
Mea culpa! Its notched as 400D, same notch width as 640T but no Tungsten Notch. Sorry for being thick. (Weird idea by Kodak though.)

i believe to remember that it was a semi-pro decition for this as it was intended to be shot with lens top 85B filters (85B for use with Type B films rated at 3200K) for daylight use rather than the built in plain 85 filters (Type A films, color balanced to 3400K - K40).peaceman wrote:I

most cameras will disable the built in 85 filter with this cart.
also there was a concern about the state of 20-30 year old built in 85 filters.
i always cut out the filter notch to allow 640T/400D operation with the built in filter and then use the exposure compensation dial on my cam (canon 1014 XLS) to expose it at 320T/200D or 400T/250D when using the built in exposure system.

Re: Super8: KODAK Vision3 500T: How is the cart notched?
I wonder how much difference 200°K make on negative stock. I would consider it absurd to distinguish between 85A and 85B with such material... but whatever, most cams don't handle such notches correctly anyway.
Re: Super8: KODAK Vision3 500T: How is the cart notched?
So the Canon 814/1014XLS will read it as 400ASA after the cart disables the filter right? Only 1/3rd over... right where you may want to start with the neg.S8 Booster wrote:i believe to remember that it was a semi-pro decition for this as it was intended to be shot with lens top 85B filters (85B for use with Type B films rated at 3200K) for daylight use rather than the built in plain 85 filters (Type A films, color balanced to 3400K - K40).peaceman wrote:I

And the V3 200T is notched for 160ASA? With no filter notch, it would register as 100ASA in the Canon. 1 full stop over.

Unfortunately I can't "check it out" as I don't have a cart. And I won't buy a cart until I know whether its notching will allow my camera to do a correct automatic exposure.S8 Booster wrote:check it out yourself
