Re: Thought film was dead?
At first I was disappointed that this flagship product is a film designed for scanning....but on second thought it makes perfect sense. Whether you're an amateur dropping your film off at the local shop for D&P or a pro....your film is probably scanned rather than hand/optically printed.
Reducing the contrast and saturation a little ought to make for better prints via the scanning route. I might give this a try.
And companies in the film business will need to adapt somewhat.

The government says that by 2010 30% of us will be fat....I am merely a trendsetter

That's great news. The lab I go to still makes optical prints, but I always get my negs scanned to a CD as well.

The few labs I use scan the negatives to make blow up prints. I see it as a good move for Kodak.
