Ektachrome 100D Colors Look Great!

I have found that the slight overexposure 2/3 to 1 full f-stop really gives great results. Now I have not tried this without the ND filter, so I don't know how the results would end up looking? My guess is 2/3 overexposure without a ND filter would be OK.

So you overexpose the film deliberately and at the same time use an ND filter?? I don't see the point...

Having shot many E100D in Regular 8 as well as in Super8 I can assure that this stock looks far far better underexposed a bit that overexposed (as all reversal colour stocks) at least used for projection. Don't know what's the case when the film is to be telecined.

The ND filter helps the lens perform better and also allows me to slightly overexpose with out causing the film to look washed out. It may sound counterproductive but it seems to work well!!! The colors are fantastic. Also I project my films and the 100D looks amazing.

I just projected some 16mm Ektachrome 100D and was amazed at the color too. Smack on... not over saturated or under. It looks amazing projected...telecine just can't do it justice even from a Spirit.

I got my first roll of E100D back yesterday. I had four cameras tested with it (all in sunlight): I got absolutely great results with a Canon 512 XL - natural, saturated colours; a Zeiss Ikon Moviflex M808 and a Eumig Viennette 3 gave stronger reds, which made the skin colour a bit orange like described before in this forum; the worst result was received with a Nizo 801 - the skin colour has gone from orange towards brown, the green colour (corn in this case) looks oversaturated and unnatural.
Maybe the exposure was not spot on with all the cameras, but from the projected images I could not tell - it doesn't look too wrong to me.

I was hoping and waiting for Kodak to release in it S8 for a long time. I've always liked it better than the 64T and even K40. The colors are just what i want for reversal, that rich density and tight grain. Projecting it always rules, but i like my DIY transfers of 100D so far too.
