“Sankyo Super LXL 250” rocking Bonus!

Post by film_idaho »

Well I was in my high school photography class and we were cleaning out the dark room and I came about a “Sankyo Super LXL 250” I was so excited :D! My teacher said that I could use it so I got home loaded some fresh batteries and tested it out and the electric zoom works, the film counter works, the light meter works, the lens is clear and dust free, and it’s case is nice.

So overall it’s a fine camera but I was wondering if there is an online manual? And could it handle the new E64T?

Any other advice on this camera would be great!

-Alex Mason

P.S. what is the use for 9fps? :|

I had the 255XLmacro version as my very first super 8...it was a great camera...back then, if you can believe it, I thought it was the ONLY super 8 camera ever made...let's just say super 8 was dead and buried in North Vancouver by the late 80's.

The 9fps is setting to allow comedic fast motion when played back at normal speed. It also complimented this camera's macro/low light capability allowing you to shoot slow/non moving action (misnomer?) with the 9fps and still get a meter reading with the F1.0 lens!!! or at most F1.1,,,very fast indeed.

best of luck and stay inspired!!! I forget on the 64 ASA thing though...you should be able to tell by looking at the metering system...compare it to my website ones...

Hi, did you ever find a manual for your Sankyo Super LXL 250?

I recently bought a Super LXL 255 Macro (which uses the same manual). I'm having trouble getting the manual though. If you managed to get one would you mind sharing? If you have a pdf or a hard copy you could scan and email over to me I'd be happy to pay you.

Have you had good results with your Sankyo?

Cheers :)
