std 8 services

Post by moviemat »

Hello,

I've recently shot my first few rolls of std8 and really enjoyed it. I processed it at home and it looks lovely but I need to have it split and transferred. Can anyone recommend someone to do this?

Cheers

A slitting device you can get f.e. from Wittner or Kahl. You can do it without problem yourself then and cut and splice your film before having it transferred - but I'm sorry, I don't the transferring labs in UK.

I can't find a slitting device on their sites. can you post a link? or is it something i have to phone for? I don't mind sending my film abroad for transfer either.

I'm quite sure that I have seen one offered by another company, just can't remember which one. I guess the best for you is to call Wittner or Kahl - I'm sure they'll help you out in English.
I had two transfers done in Austria by little private companies: one was OK, one was awful; another transfer was done by Kahl, which was good.
