It's been awhile since I last posted!! I'm glad to see that so many of you are still here. I have a friend that owns a regular 8 camera (Bell and Howell) with an electric eye. I was wondering if it truly is a paper weight due to the lack of manually set exposure settings. What kind of results can she expect if she shoots anything that John Schwind sells? Thanks
Rusty

Re: Shooting new regular 8 in cameras with the electric eye
Has your friend checked if the electric eye is winking?
I mean is it functioning, controlling the aperture? Those models should have a film speed setting (a dial somewhere on the camera) and John's 100D should be within the camera's settings.
If the "electric eye" is working then your friend has a decent chance at some ok pictures.
Dwayne's photo can process and transfer for you. The transfer is passable and good for the money.
