While this is an international project I feel it's about time we let the Brits on the board handle this matter. I thought one was going to do this. It would be one thing, Tim, if this guy was in LA - then you or I could pay him a friendly visit. But he's where - Scotland? A couple of hours away from where Angus lives?

If anybody has any other ideas or suggestions, break 'em out.

Tim

Maybe program a GPS based homing pick-up rocket for this location:
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=us&sourc ... 10&iwloc=A

Also usable as a travelplanner :)

Or to order a strong homing pigeon from there to etimh's address (I know, pigeons only fly one direction, home). Or use some Royal mail facility to ship receiver-paid. How difficult can it be to toss the lot in a small box or strong large envelope...

Blue Audio might even be willing to be the receiving address?
Kind regards,

André

so the ptc is even the brainchild of

I am not a participator and I was not aware of this. Tragic as the instignator is now at the focus of the stagnation of the PTC

That would be the equivalent of us driving from LA to San Francisco - no excuse, mate.

Maybe so, but to drive from SE England to Kilmarnock would involve driving through Birmingham, and that would be pure hell!

Anyhoo...

Maybe an uninvolved 3rd party might be best to try and talk him round?

Does anyone have his phone number?

All joking aside...I'm too lazy to go back a few pages or look for it on the other board but I swear I thought there was another Scotsman on board who was going to swing by his flat...

With some further assistance and info dug up by aj, I have some new leads--I will proceed and keep everyone informed. If I can't make contact, we'll take it to the next level, which may involve some drastic and questionable tactics. j/k

Despite my name I am not Scottish, I am close to London and it would be a 7 hour trip by road or rail to get to his place. Conceivably I could fly but its a lot of hassle - even though I really want to see everyone's footage, not least my own for personal reasons.

Having lived in the USA a decade ago, I do understand the "LA to SF" thing....but we Brits think a hundred miles is a long way. Our roads don't really lend themselves to 3 hour drives for lunch with a mate then 3 hours back.

I did write to Morris a few months after activities stopped, to ask if he was OK and if he wanted any assistance. He could have posted the films to me and I'd try to get things going again....but he didn't respond.
The government says that by 2010 30% of us will be fat....I am merely a trendsetter :)

What's so frustrating is that I can't figure out a way to directly
communicate with him. He's a member of all these different services--forums, ebay, youtube, flicker, etc.--but you can only send him messages through the services, and if he doesn't come around he might not even be seeing the messages.

He has a twitter account that he has been active on (http://twitter.com/morrismilne) (active in the last hour!) but I don't do "tweeting" and I don't think you can directly send an email to an account there anyways. Maybe somebody who does do twitter can develop a relationship with him somehow and hit him up there.

I also have his home address but what can we do with that except have somebody local visit him? Does anyone know if you can get a home phone number from "information" by having his name and home address? Maybe somebody local could do that--I'll make the international call, just get me the number.
