This is probably my first post in several years. Hi everyone. I am at my parents' place and recovered my Z700 from storage. It's been stored in a Pelican case along with some film I bought in 2005. I suspect the film is expired and I don't know how well it kept considering this place has incredibly hot summers every year. Also the salt water air causes everything to corrode, which is annoying, it destroyed my Z800 and my P1. Anyway, I lost my manual for the Z700. I would like to know if anyone has the PDF for it since I didn't see it on Kent's site. I gotta get re-acquainted with it now, I'll be taking it back to Los Angeles with me.
Camera seems fine, the lightmeter was worked on by Paul Cotto in 2005. Only thing that happened was it was stored with batteries which leaked so there was some corrosion in the battery compartment. I cleaned some of the blue grime but the corrosion caused one of the contact point springs to break. So sometimes the battery light will not come on when I press the battery check button. I don't know if it's worth fixing. Any place in LA that repairs this?
Anyway, here are the main questions. What do the letters "L" "E" and "N" mean on the rotating lever at the back of the camera? Also the knob on the side has setting for "R", "|" and "RC". I figure that the R is for run and the | is for single frame operation (such as animation). Not sure what the RC does.
On the other side there are knobs with "L" "0" "2""4" and "C". Is this the shutter control? There's also a smaller knob with "0" "2" and "4" on it.
Weird how I can't remember anything at all about this camera, yet I was using it just 5 years ago. So much has happened in my life since then that I just forgot all about it. I seem to have a few rolls of R25N, so I'll be shooting some film here in Rio if anyone can help me back on track. Thanks!
Edit: I also would appreciate some help figuring out how to set the diopter! Thanks!

Re: Fujica Z700 Questions
I believe your camera is very similar to the Z800 except
for the better EBC 8X Fujinon lens.

Hi Bill, thanks, I did see that right after my post. I would still like to understand the turning lever behind the grip if anyone knows what it's for...

Re: Fujica Z700 Questions
About the turning lever behind the grip,
"N"
Normal position.
The power supply enters when grasping by the hand.
The power supply cuts if the hand is separated.
"E"
Only the power supply of the exposure meter enters.
When cable release or a remote switch is used.
"L"
Lock position.
When putting it away in the bag.
Z700 has a good lens.
Z700 and Z800 are popular in Japan.
Good luck!
