I think this is relatively new, but Lenny has a profile webpage that highlights his background and more recent accomplishments:

At the bottom are links to his news, blog, and archives page, his facebook page, an email address, and even a phone number! (ask for Lenny!). Also of interest to some (particularly Roger) is a link to "Lenny's gallery of Paintings":

Still a pretty interesting guy. And not a week goes by that I don't consult either The Super 8 Book or Indpendent Filmmaking.

NIce, and even a design contribution to the vision of the Mars rovers.
Clearly too large for the small frame of super-8 only

I used to look at the pictures of Mr LIpton in his texts and thought of him as a rather long in the tooth (at the time) hippy. There were articles where he would discuss 3D shooting illustrated with pictures of Minoltas and Nizos yoked together. I thought at the time, "Come on, it's just not practical and hasn't worked worth a crap...and the cameras look silly" It turns out that, one, he was a lot younger than I thought he was. Two, he's laughing all the way to the bank on the interest which spawned those "silly" tandem cameras.

I don't see where any of his films are posted on the web. This is a shame, as one who read his articles in the old Super 8 Filmaker magazine as well as his Super 8 Book and Independent Fillmaking, I would've really liked to have seen at least one of his films.

He's been laughing all the way since 1959 when he created Puff the Magic Dragon. That was a huge hit back in the 60's.ricohmite wrote:" It turns out that, one, he was a lot younger than I thought he was. BTW, did he do anything with Avatar? I saw a screening of it recently and it really is impressive. The 3D is stunning to say the least.
