You're lucky. I've taken super 8 film through airport checks at least a hundred times and I always get a hassle--ranging from firm direct orders to just put the bag through the machine, to irritated hand-checks (if and when they will do it--someplaces like Seatac stright out refuse, not sure why). But, in the end, I understand the deal. Gotta be a crappy job.
