Rocky mountain lab.
Hi
I would like to know if the Rocky Mountain isn't closed
because the phone number isn't valid and the fax is closed, and my email, letters stay without answer.
Thank you

I don't know about RML but these guys can help with outdated film stocks:

Re: Rocky mountain lab.
who needs this overpriced RML? pay $50 and wait half a year.
Certainly from Europe you can use Andec for fast standard ciné processing at modest prices and Super8.nl does all special processing of moviechromes, EM26 etc at fair prices and likely in two weeks rather than 6 months.
And it seems there is now this UK processing guy at eBay who barely wins back the costs of chemistry

Re: Rocky mountain lab.
I think we had a topic before about those guys.
I sent an old film roll to them and forgot about it. Then like over a year later it showed up in the mail processed.
They're not much on communication.

Re: Rocky mountain lab.
I think that was the way they worked with some emulsions? Since the chemicals needed for some processing are specifically mixed for, lest say, "weirdo-emulsion-A" they sit on all of the "weirdo-emulsion-A" films they receive until they have enough films to process. So they can make use of the chemicals.
I´m pretty sure they would make a whole mixture just for your film if you asked for it, but then again the price for the processing would obviously be even higher, since they would waste a lot of chemicals for the processing of just one film.

Re: Rocky mountain lab.
Evidently, when you want to send new orders you better use Filmrescue (next run in january), C22 in UK or if it is less then 40 years old just as good super8.nl
If you want back some film allready there , write a letter using registered post, contact chamber of commerce or his local police
Others reading this, just don't send anything, no film, no money.
Seems a bit like kent bulza single8film. Keep the site up and keep the money coming and just don't bother with delivery or response.
Is the crisis that bad in USA that some start stealing from ordinary people far away?

Re: Rocky mountain lab.
Considering the big machine processing equipment he was selling at one time I thought it was quite an operation.
Possibly this was just before he went travelling the globe. Without a telephone and not using email

Hi,
the webpage says "Copyright ©1997-2009 Rocky Mountain Film Lab", so it got updated this year... Maybe they're just on vacation (without stating this on their webpage)?

This space was left intenionally blank.
Re: Rocky mountain lab.
I think they are still around judging by their website.
Remember that as someone stated above, they wait until they have recieved enough of your type of film before doing a run. Their website even warns that service time can be long.
However, they should answer phone calls, there's no excuse for poor customer service.
