Would you bid on this projector?

If I had no projector I might give $5 a try.
The photo is only of the box, there appears to be no picture of the projector itself. The seller says "appears to work fine" but has he actually run it properly with film? I'd say not.
Seller has a lot of good feedback but isn't a photo specialist. The first few feedbacks in his profile are mostly glass/china bowls and suchlike. He probably doesn't really know much about cine gear, and likely as not he hasn't owned the projector for long. He doesn't even say if it's super 8 or standard 8.
Only bid what you are prepared to lose if it turns out to be trash. Might be the bargain of the decade, might be a right dog's dinner.

That's amazing! The seller bothered to take a photo of the box, but not the projector, surely it wouldn't take much effort just to get it out of the box!? 8O
Bidding is for the box only..........projector not included! Or, I think there is a projector in the box, I haven't had the time to check, sold as seen, no refunds, so bid accordingly.

Maybe if the box was in mint condition?
From your description filmbuff this sounds like a Moviedeck. Can't tell without seeing a picture of the actual item. I used to have a Moviedeck and it was great for transfering film to videotape because it had a built-in rear projection screen. The angle of the mirrors eliminated the hot spot normally associated with rear projection. The one bad thing is if the projector jammed it was difficult to remove the film since it traveled inside the projector to the take-up reel on the bottom. :?

Its not like the Kodak moviedecks of the seventies. The M95, I believe, was Kodak's very first projector from 65-66 era. Very unusual design, the top flips up and locks into an upright position. The one I had was busted so i don't know if its any good.
Actually I scanned the manual for this site a few years ago if anyones dying to see a picture of it
