walmart processing
I got my film back undeveloped by walmart even when they display the price of $4.95. clerk said something about a 120ft minimum, yet its printed on the package "one roll per package" anyone else know about this? I suspect the film never made it out of the store. My wife picked it up or otherwise I would have inquired a bit more of what I have to do to get it developed.
this happened to me once. wal-mart sent it to be transfered to video when they saw movie film on the envelope. so it came back 3 weeks later unprocessed. after calling their outlab i figured what happened and now write unprocessed film please process K-14 on pkg. another experience i had was that Tampa wal-mart stores do not use outlabs that use dwaynes so they just send it back after couple of weeks stating unable to process.
ive never sent more than 100'so not sure of that constraint .

Wal-Mart processing, Irvine
I was told by Wal-mart, Irvine, that processing is $.08 ft. for super 8 and 16mm with a 250 ft. minimum. What a deal, especially on the 16mm. The woman that helped me looked it up, and she was positive of the price. She said Fuji does the processing, and she gave me a number at Fuji to call if I had any other questions.

Wallmart Processing
I use Wallmart here in California (Mountain View in Silicon Valley) and I have never had a problem. It is necessary to write SUPER 8 MOVIE FILM in the special instructions box. Also check the box required.

I'm in New York. Are there any Walmarts here that process Super 8?

Walmart Processing
That is good news as I live in bay area almost near SF but a minor commute to Mountain View Walmart, however seems worth the drive since they offer Super 8 k-40 processing. I assume they use Dwayne's Lab? So is the Super8 processing price at Walmart's nationwide (if it's offered at all stores) about $4.95 and how long does it take to get film back?wyattali@concentric.net wrote:I use Wallmart here in California (Mountain View in Silicon Valley) and I have never had a problem. Yes. They take off the Dwayne's sticker on the box before you get it though.StopMoWorks wrote: That is good news as I live in bay area almost near SF but a minor commute to Mountain View Walmart, however seems worth the drive since they offer Super 8 k-40 processing. I assume they use Dwayne's Lab?
1-2 weeks. I think they send it out on Saturdays so you have to drop it off before then but each Wal-Mart might have different policies.StopMoWorks wrote:So is the Super8 processing price at Walmart's nationwide (if it's offered at all stores) about $4.95 and how long does it take to get film back?

I've been doing pretty well at the Mt View WalMart. Averaging about a week and a day. I should be getting my first roll with actual images on it back this week.
I'm very excited about this. All the other stuff has been 10+ year old film, that came out as light-purple leader.
No biggie, tho, considering what leader costs these days anyway!

Of course -- go to http://www.happyd.com. They provide excellent service. Dealing with them directly will be more expensive (I think it's about $9.00/roll) but they're great people and will take good care of you.orchis244 wrote:is there a way to contact and ship film directly to dwaynes for processing??

Wallmart Processing
I take back my previous post. I sent 3 rolls of exposed Kodachrome K-40 to some clowns at Wallmart here in Silcon Valley. 2 were developed and they gave 1 back with some sticker on it that said Undeveloped Not able to process. The film was sound film so maybe someone looked at the sound opening and did not see the block letters EXPOSED. How could they know its not just partially exposed?. It makes no sense! Also the package said Fuji processing from Hayward CA which I could have sworn was out of business but that lab used to develop Super 8 a few years ago. Go figure. Even though Dwayne's cost almost double I am about ready to send this to them directly. I suppose I will be more explicit with my instructions and try Wallmart one more time. Any comments?
