I am very anxious to see the results Of the negative vision 3!

I spoke to Kodak UK earlier today, and they told me that it would be available sometime before the end of the year.

There won't be any stocks in Europe until the distribution centre in Chalon-sur-Saône in France has run out of Vision2 as far as I understand it.

I've got to say the Swedish prices are pretty eye-watering. I am assuming that Wiberg's published prices exclude Swedish VAT at 25%.

Even at the discounted price it is still a lot more expensive than we sell it for at http://www.bluecinetech.co.uk. When Vision3 turns up here we will sell it for the same price that we are currently advertising Vision2 for.

As to why Wittner has it, possibly it has been sent over by a contact in the USA? Or possibly the information that Kodak UK gave me is incorrect.

I have the vision 3 500T and the unofficial Vision 3 200T
The grain of the 500T is better than vision 2
and the 200T is more natural for the telecine

Well your website seems to be up and running again, and there is indeed a picture of Vision3 500T posted up on it.

The thing is the I think I may have seen that picture before.... The one that Adam Garner posted originally perhaps????

Below a crop of Adam's picture, underneath it Freddy's 'stock' of Vision3 that he shows on his website. Hmmm....

So could you post a photo of some V3 500T with your face in view and a copy of today's newspaper? I suspect not, or at least not without exercising your Photoshop skills.

Or maybe your digital camera has broken???

Here is the a picture of the stock of Vision3 200T that I have, courtesy of a well-known image editing program. Took all of 2 mins to make, and when I transfer it on my imaginary machine I too agree that the Vision3 200T is more natural for Telecine, as does my good friend Elvis Presley who has just popped round for a nice cup of tea and some biscuits.

What is that "unofficial" filmstock? Never heard of it.

Vision 2 & 3 are negative stocks and not for direct projection... so what does "more natural for telecine" mean here? Could you give further details of differences between both telecined images?

I actually talked to a Kodak rep and they said they were skipping Vision3 200T altogether and going straight to Vision4 200T.

They sent me this picture as verification... :D

I'm afraid you really are out of the loop on this one. I have just spoken to Freddy and he has given me the latest info.

It seems that the folks at Rochester have decided to go with flow and follow the Zeitgeist. The marketing team have come up with a fresh new idea....

They expect the new product line up to last for at least 4 years.
