Pharmacy Telecine Services

Post by Davideo »

I've run into this question from time to time about the difference between the customized film transfer services I provide versus pharmacies with photo labs like CVS that offer film to DVD transfers. I haven't seen the actual results of this pharmacy generated work...but I'm curious about what equipment they use. I highly doubt they have Rank Cintels, so any insight would be helpful to argue against using these services that offer 2 hours of film transfer for only 40 bucks.

Are you sure they do the transfer there, and don't source it out? A lot of places use www.yesvideo.com.

After taking an in-store order, they ship off the films somewhere else...so that's what I'm trying to find out...what's going on behind the scenes.
