Fixing Elmo 180 S8 projector

Post by TimL »

Hi,
new here, need some help taking apart and fixing my projector. I got a manual on line, and the machine is in great shape, just turned it on and it stopped after a minute. I think it has a broken belt. I have not opened it up yet, but will and wish I had a schematic or exploded parts view, or suggestions were to start.

Thanks, any suggestions?

You can get inside the machine by removing a couple of screws on the back cover.

This E-bay seller has the right belts:

I recall having to remove a little retainer on the back pulley of my ST-800 to be able to put the belt on, but once I did that it was easy.

You might just need to take off the arm covers and fiddle around there. The tension can get loused up over the years and all it needs is some adjustment.
