Hi guys,
Now that Blue Audio Visual has shut up shop, is there anywhere else i can get my kodachrome telecined? I left my details with the guys when i phoned because apparently one of the lads is taking up those responsibilities himself but i haven't heard anything back.
Any suggestions?
Cheers
Paul

Send it to MOVIESTUFF - Roger reinvented the whole telecine industry so you would be in good hands...

How about The Widescreen Centre or Todd-AO here in the UK.

http://www.todd-ao.co.uk/super8mm.htm
Todd AO stopped processing but I believe they still do super 8 telecine.
The Widescreen Centre is cheaper for smaller amounts of film.
Good Luck!
Chris.
PS
There is also http://www.videostation.co.uk/aboutus.asp but I have not used them for a while.

I haven't shut up shop - business continues as ever. The Seldon Plan wrote:Now that Blue Audio Visual has shut up shop, is there anywhere else i can get my kodachrome telecined? I am renaming the business and moving premises, but am very much up and running!
I transferred 17 rolls this morning alone. I've got a big order of filmstock coming in from Kodak tomorrow.
PM me, or email me on my new temporary email which is....

That's good to know, another one bites the dust.. not! Bart, how much does Super 8 telecine cost per roll? I couldn't find that on your site.

Re: Super8 telecine
The site is hopelessly out of date at the moment Gianni. I'm going to put up a new site on a new domain soon, as I'm changing the name of the business anyway. This is largely because I'm going to stop doing most audio gear as it has become impossible to make a living doing so. I've been buying/selling musical instruments for years and years, and sort of fell into the whole Super 8 thing quite by chance a couple of years later. The new name is 'Blue CineTech' - not very imaginative, but it was all I could come up with!
Prices of telecine I am going to revise, but single rolls at the moment are £9.99, with a set-up charge of £4.99 per job which includes blank stock. For larger quantities I will do a deal on the price. PM me if you are interested.
I prefer to transfer to MiniDV.
My current plan is to do a film/process/telecine deal at £29.99 a pop.
