Super 8 wedding

Post by twotoneska »

Thought I'd share this with you guys - http://www.vimeo.com/1205322

Shot it on V2500T Super 8 for a co-workers wedding. The camera was a Nizo 6080. Transferred by Spectra with no color correction done during transfer or post-production. There was very little light inside the chapel when I shot, and even less for the dances (which sucked more for focusing than it did for actually shooting stuff).

Nice work, you.

The negs can look ~superfine~ uncorrected, but then when you correct them and look back at that superfine uncorrected look, it looks like crap! ~:?)

Thanks Mitch! I do like the look of the uncorrected neg's, just as a throwback to the look of the uncorrected Super 8 you see in some home movie's. I'm trying to learn Color right now, so, I might use that video as test footage to see what I can do with it.

Yeah, I know... I'm already looking into one.

OTOH that home movie reversal, even uncorrected, has a lot of contrast, rich blacks, vibrant colour...

I think you'll have a blast. If that program has "auto colour" and "auto levels" it may be all you need...
