Hello all. I'd like to share some footage I shot last year. Spectra did the transfer.

Re: holiday footage
The footage looks great! I especially like the hanging christmas lights. Good job! What is 200N though?

Seth,
Hi. Thanks. It's Kodak 200 Negative Tungsten. I guess I should've said 200T.

Did Spectra process AND transfer the negative stock for you? If so, how much film did you have, and do you know if Spectra has an order minimum? Thanks again!

Re: holiday footage
I have enjoyed a lot watching your filming. Which camera do you use usually?
Re: holiday footage
Seth,
Spectra did processing and transfer. I was very happy with their work. They don't have an order minimum. I think I shot three rolls.
Harry,
Hi. Thanks. Lately, I've been shooting with a Canon 518SV. It's compact, has nice weight, clean lens and easy to whip out and shoot. However, I recently acquired a Bolex P1 Reg. 8 and have been playing with that too.

Re: holiday footage
Really good footage! I'm curious about how spectra delivers the transfer. Did they do this on their davinci? Did they deliver it as a quicktime file? I'd love to see the uncompressed version. I usually transfer my footage at Pro8 on their millenium scanner, which produces amazing results. It's costly though. I'd love to see the spectre full version transfer and compare!
Re: holiday footage
Adam,
The uncompressed footage looks great. I had them transfer to miniDV. You can check out their website for other info regarding the equipment they use: spectrafilmandvideo.com. I've never really compared prices with Pro8 but from what I hear, Spectra is cheaper and their work is top quality. I'm very happy with their service.

Wow! Very clean looking imagery and a very impressive transfer. Good cinematography too. I especially liked the footage of you guys playing with the dog.
