I am doing it....Selling my Aaton

Post by Nigel »

Well, after much flip-flopping. I have decided to sell my LTR54. It is a great camera. If anyone is interested email me for details and pictures. The mags were just overhauled by Abel and the camera is in top running shape. A donation will be made to 8mm.shooting if bought by someone through this site. She will be on eBay soon--so here is your chance before she is thrown to the dogs.

Thanks

No---I am actually thinking of either another Aaton S16 or even the Aaton 35-III.

By the way--I have never switched away from Super8 I just don't shoot it as much as I did.

Good Luck

Is your Aaton S16 modified? Does if have variable shutter?

If not, what cameras do have these two features?

Thanks!

M email is what you would get by clicking on it using the proper button. Aforslund@hotmail.com

No, the LTR54 does not have a variable shutter(180 degree) it was not until the XTR Plus that Aaton had that feature. I have never wished or wanted that in a camera so I didn't look for it when buying one. My camera is a factory Super16 camera--It can be switched to regular16 in a matter of minutes.

Thanks

If you are serious why not send me an email. Let me just say that I need to sell it fast for an opportunity that won't last long. I think what I am asking is a great deal.

The camera didn't sell on eBay and I will probably relist it. Let me know if you are interested before then.

Thanks

Yes, my parents are Swedish. No, as far as I can tell I am not related(at least to my knowledge). I wish I were. I am also sad to say that my parents never taught me enough Swedish to be able to speak it.

its a buyer's market on ebay right now!! selling/making profit is difficult right now. i stopped posting my items because everything is bidding so low compared to 3 months ago. i think october, november and december will be good sales month. as are march, april, may and some of june. the other periods are better for buyers. i like your camera, and will step up to the plate and buy one sooner or later. i am still moving laterally in the low end 16mm market(beaulieu, canon, kras., etc.), as well as moving upward to the eclair's, gsmo, and arri. once i assimilate those cameras, i will start moving towards your type of camera ... heck, my little beaulieu super8 dvd project seems to be turning into a used motion picture camera DVD project ... covering all the popular rigs. lots of work however. lots of work. good luck selling your camera. i'll email down the road a bit and if you still have it perhaps we can work a deal or do some horsetrading.
