Ordering Online from Kodak

Post by mattse03 »

I don't know if Kodak did away with it or I'm just blind but I remember ordering Super8 film (K40) online through their site about a year ago. So does anyone know if you must order over the phone now? I can't seem to locate the prices for filmstock on kodaks site either so could someone be so kind to inform me the current price of kodachrome W/O processing paid? Thanks I appreciate it.

Here in the UK, Kodak's online shop facility is being progressively withdrawn, product by product.

Here in the UK they never offered any celluloid products anyway, as far as I could tell.

Kodak took down its shop@kodak site earlier this year. At the time they said it was being re-designed. It has yet to relaunch. I contacted them about two months ago, asking if they had a projected re-launch date. The reply was "No date set. Please feel free to call" the 1-800 number and order film directly blah blah blah. (No shit? I can call you and order film? Fancy that!)

I know it's gauche to criticize Kodak - and before doing so let me say that I choose their film 70-80% of the time - but it seems to me a poorly managed company. Anyone who takes down their e-commerce site at this time is either not interested in online sales or is a complete moron. (And if they are not interested in online sales, then they are probably at least a partial moron.) ... Then again, these days almost every American company seems to me poorly managed....

They said that their online-shop has been closed but offer some links to dealers.

What I find a cool remark is that Super-8 is especially referred to near the Motion Picture-button.....

Here´s the link:

Sorry, it´s not a "Motion-Picture" button, but anyway - no signs of 16mm or 35mm - just Super-8!

Seems that a lot of people have bothered them about this gauge recently! :P
