Canon 1014 XLS Tri-X

Can I assume the Canon 1014 XLS and Nikon R10 will expose Tri X and Plus X correctly?

At least the Canon should expose it without problems.

Yes, the 1014XL-S exposes tri x and plus x just fine. The 1014XL-S is set to read almost every conventional speed out there. Check the film it can read on it specs at the canon museum:
