Great! I look forward to this. They say three times is the charm...maybe we can finally complete the damn thing.
I swear to God, if this one doesn't work out I am dropping out of any future projects -- I have been the curse the previous two times...

I've been reading through a fair amount of the old posts and I have a couple of questions. It seems that lastcoyote is pretty much running the project at this point, and doing a great job of it I'd like to add.
So when completed to all of the carts go back to lastcoyote for procesing?
Who is transfering the carts? I know there are a few people in the project who have good transfer abilities. Will one of those participants step up for the transfer? (Maybe keep the transfer on the North American continant this time to be transfered on somone's Workprinter? Or send it off to Norway to be Flashscanned?)
I've donated a cart, but am also willing to chip in for processing. If each person chips in $1.25 for processing, the carts can be sent off to Dwaynes Via Wal-Mart for $5 each. Instead of putting cash in the envolopes, perhaps send Pay Pal donations to whoever has all of the carts in the end.
Or perhaps a larger investment and send them off to Spectra for processing and transfer in one shot? What would that cost?
Just some additional ideas to keep the creative juices flowing!
Cheers,

Our shooting story:
Yesterday my wife and I were planning on going to downtown LA then Hollywood (to see Romero's "Diary of the Dead" at the Mann Chinese theater)...I thought I'd take some good architectural shots of both areas while we were there. Alas...just as we got into the car we turn the radio on and they are talking about the mess the LA Marathon has made of everything. There was no way we could make into downtown or Hollywood... so we drove North on Pacific Coast Highway a few miles, parked by the beach and went to a canyon to hike. The weather was gorgeous but since it was midday we thought it best if we filmed when we finished our hike. When we got back to the car two hours later it was OVERCAST. DAMN! I didn't want to wait another week for the schizo weather to change again so we went ahead and shot some footage of the ocean, a surfer, water crashing on the rocks...maybe it will look more dramatic in the subdued lighting...
I have Pelle's address and will send the cart out today or tomorrow.

Hey guys. Sorry for the slow updates. I've been in northern Canada for the last couple of weeks. As you know, I've run into camera issues. Perfect timing, I know. I bought a 814XL-S that should be at my door any day. Sit tight! The title of my piece is The Changing Door. BOOP!
There can be no thought of finishing, for "aiming at the stars" both literally and figuratively is a problem to occupy generations, so that no matter how much progress one makes there is always the thrill of just beginning.

Technically we're not patronizing Wal-mart, but Dwaynes. They're only a drop off point. A cheaper one I might add. I don't care for them either.....etimh wrote:Some of us don't like to patronize walmart.James E wrote:...the carts can be sent off to Dwaynes Via Wal-Mart for $5 each.
I'll pitch in to send it direct to some place like Spectra (my choice, for sure).

You're legitimizing their existence. :twisted:James E wrote:Technically we're not patronizing Wal-mart, but Dwaynes. They're only a drop off point. A cheaper one I might add. Anyway, don't mind me. It's a personal crusade of mine. Do whatever you want.

I just wanted you to know that I have been checking in regularly to monitor progress and anticipate my shooting dates. However, I am producing a 4-day film festival which runs next week, so will likely not check in again until the festival is over. If Pelle.txt turns it around fast and is posting for info from me please PM me.
Thanks
Rick
