multiple tv installation

Post by adamkat22 »

does anyone know how installations are done where there are multiple tv's that all play a aprt of an image...therefore creating the whole image when you watch all of the tv's together? i can't imagine that each tv is hooked up to its own dvd player right?

I am sure there is a digital effects box of some sort that divides the single display into multiple images.

Found something:

Could be even easier with the right TVs. My Panasonic (TH42PWD7B) has this feature ("Multi Display") built in. It can go in a 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4 matrix. All you need is a signal splitter to feed all the TVs the same signal, then tell each TV which one it is in the matrix and it zooms it's own section from the input signal. No idea what the quality will be like though.....
Off all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
