I want to try processing Plus-X/Tri-X in the set for processing Fomapan R (2 x 16mm x 30,5 metres). I should change time of procedures, in comparison with the data in the instruction? Probably someone has experience with processing in these chemicals? :?:

I have found the Kodak development times work well with Foma Chemistry. but you need to stick rigidly to the timings because the kodak film is not as tough as Fomapan and your emulsion will literally melt away if you over do it!

Hi, Alex. works perfectly well. I quit using it because bleach isn't reusable. Regarding times, with new developer, 4 minutes for Plus-X and 7 minutes for Tri-X. After 2 rolls add 30 second each time you reuse it.

I have a few questions on this and hope that members may be able to assist. I am trying to process Tri-X and Plus-X with the foma kit.
The foma instructions say the 1st and 2nd development times are 12 minutes and 5 minutes respectively. If the recommended 1st development time for Tri-X is 7 minutes, does this mean that the 2nd development time for Tri-X is proportionately reduced i.e 7/12 x 5 = 2.9 minutes?
The foma instructions seem to be different according to the language in which they are written. The English instructions say the chemicals should be mixed 1 part solution to 10 parts water. The German instructions refer to 1 part solution to 5.4 parts water.
A general point concerning the Lomo tank - the tank comes with a clear plastic spacer that screws on the bottom of the spiral. With this spacer in place the black handle which screws into the top of the spiral is hard up against the cover of the tank when the cover is closed. This seems to me better from the point of view of preventing light seeping into the tank from the top. However, if one leaves the spacer off, the spiral can then be lifted when revolved in the tank. This seems to be better from the point of view of agitation.
