The original purpose is send a few cart of K40 to different cities, each person shot 30 seconds and send back to Mojohey, so he can telecine them and put in some music and make it as a Farewell tour salue to K40... as the film will passing different cities.. it was named as "Pass the Cart".
Most of the film back to mojohey except the film cart number 1. It was stuck in the middle because one of the member keep the film and disappear from the forum. Then I think Mojohey sent another cart to the team and it was done and sent back to Mojohey... but then Mojohey disappeared too.
So now Superbus_ & Flatwood thinking about starting another project similar to that. But maybe the curse is so strong & freaking people out so not many willing to join anymore maybe because they afraid they will disappear as well. So up to now only have 4 or 5 members who dare enough to run the project again. And not worry about missing in action.

Hey folks. LOng time no checking. I see there is still some action here. on the PTC thread. Cool. I'll get my t-shirt out, pop open a beer and think about what could have been. To bad there has been no ending to this yet. Let's hope Mojohey will surface still.
I think a new project could be cool to do. Maybe if it was something simple others might join in. The forum has grown since the original PTC, and i bet some of those that were not around at that time might be interrested. If a concrete plan is formed maybe it should be posted in the other forum?.
Bjarne, your offer is very generous. If it is possible to have transfer donated to the project one could shoot negative to really show of the format. That could also be interesting.
Just out of curiousity, when sending the carts inter-continentally, or cross-borders do you have to take preventative measures to ensure x-rays or magnetizers won't ruin the exposed film?
There can be no thought of finishing, for "aiming at the stars" both literally and figuratively is a problem to occupy generations, so that no matter how much progress one makes there is always the thrill of just beginning.
No authority that I know of, not even the USA, routinely x-rays postal packages...even if they did, K40 or 64T should be fine. And in any case, Kodak offer labels you can download for free and print...which say "Motion Picture Film, Do not open or x-ray. Film will be ruined"
I'm up for a simple project, though round this time of year my part of the world looks distinctly dull most days.

I'm game, also, for any sort of collaborative project. I'm really itching to work with some people.

DUDES! What's going on?? It's been a while but as the originator of this thread, I'm going to try and participate here on the forum more. I've been itching to shoot more Super8 for myself (rather than for my wedding clients). Somebody fill me in on what's up with this Pass The Cart dealio??

Well it depends on what people want to do. This is a busy time of year for a lot of us, though it also provides interesting travel opportunities for some. Anyone in the UK will likely be experiencing very dull weather until February, not good for spectacular photographic shots but there might be the odd day when we have sun and/or snow.

For myself, I really want to start our project ASAP.. if you want to make it a "Go thur 2 years" project. And It would be cool if it start from winter to spring.
Now what do we do? Are we still using the passing the cart/carts? Or we shot our own cart?... I like the idea of passing the cart.

Somebody pick a starting date?? How many of us are wanting to do the project, whatever it turns out to be??? Lets take a week for all to check in and lets get started.
Is there no hope of finishing the original PTC? Does it depend on Mojohey? The film we shot was likely pre-paid processing which is no longer possible, so even if Mojohey resurfaces there is that question of paying to get it processed.
I am very depressed at the thought of never seeing what I shot about 2 years ago.
