Super 8 music video in progress
My first music video shot on 11 rolls of vision2 7217/7218, total of 8 hrs. of work and I can not wait the next time the band is in town to do the rest of scene. Sorry, guys, the song is in Tagalog (Pilipino language)
http://blip.tv/file/491353?filename=Amf ... him115.mov
here is a rough translation.
I don't understand, these burdening feelings
try as I may to ignore them, still they linger on
time hastening, no longer want to tolerate it
all through life expecting, forced to live with them
chorus:
nothing else I can do
but to wait for the end
I don't know If I have the strength
to get back up again. or able to go back again
can someone tell me what to do
all I want is that all doubts in my mind to stop
to learn who I am, to escape the darkness
to see again, and vanquished all these hidden secrets I'm keeping
(Repeat Chorus)
why can't I understand... why can't I patiently wait
Let me know what you guys think?
Thanks,
Ray

wow..I like the desaturated look of the scenes where
the band plays their instruments..
too bad it has so much interlacing artifacts and slight jitter
please tell me more the produczion process:
Camera, lighting, processing of film, telecine, post production
here is a link to my latest project...requires divx-player

thanks..
its 99% tri-x, rest plus-x
I used the optivaron in addition with the schneider ultrawide III lens.
the original footage is even sharper.
what you see on stage6 is a divx file
that used an 200mb mpeg as source file..
the second part of the video got aired on mtv here in germany

This music video is a self assignment that I shot on Beaulieu 6008 PRO with Angenieux 6-80 T1.4, exposed/processed normal and telecine to mini DV by flying spot. I did the post on Final Cut and as for lighting I used 3 650, 2 300 watts ARRI Fresnel
Any suggestion on what you think is missing or lucking in the video to improved it.
Thanks.

Well, first of all, I'm no expert at all when it comes down to telecine and stuff. But the best way to transfer footage would be to scan each frame individually and thus making a progressive video file. On a transfer for me (it was done by an individual who I don't know) I got a dv video clip sent back to me in 24fps, while the frame rate i shot in was 18fps, and the movie was interlaced. So every 3 frames there was some sort of 'in between frame'. Well, next time I'm gonna try to get rid of this by getting a better transfer. What you can do now is deinterlace your footage. In your editing software there must be some effect somewhere where you can deinterlace footage. The software will generate the 'in between frame' from the 2 separate fields that you had before..

Thank,s guys, for all your comments.
Romeo the music video looks great from the parts that I saw. I am also having trouble watching it in the website.
