Flash socket of Leicina super.
I know most of you Leicina owners will be saying there is no flash socket on the camera, which is true, it is on the ST1 controller unit, that incorporates time lapse dials, a tape sync socket and most other functions can be controlled by this unit that plugs into an unusual looking socket with I think 8 pins, on top of the camera, what I want to do if possible is to have the flash socket on the camera, does anyone know the internal workings of this camera.? It is easy enough to open the ST1 unit to see the connections to the flash socket, and find where the wires attach, could this be done, the reason for this, is to make it simpler when using a double system sound, otherwise I will be carting around the ST1 unit, the pulse generater, and an audio recorder, do you see my problem..[/img]

Or you can check the manual which states the pin assignments including those of the flash.Jerseyfilm 8 wrote:I know most of you Leicina owners will be saying there is no flash socket on the camera, which is true, it is on the ST1 controller unit, that incorporates time lapse dials, a tape sync socket and most other functions can be controlled by this unit that plugs into an unusual looking socket with I think 8 pins, on top of the camera, what I want to do if possible is to have the flash socket on the camera, does anyone know the internal workings of this camera.? This is a close up of the Leicina camera socket, it seems as though everything needs a power connection at pin 8, as the ST1 controller has its own power supply, the same as the camera, 5x 1.5 volt AA batteries.[/img]
