1976!! if you have footage from that summer...

Post by william »

yes, this is a big reach...but you don't get if you don't ask!

i am researching a TV documentary called THOSE WERE THE DAYS...and i was hoping to find individuals who may have footage originated during the long, hot summer of '76.

if you have any ideas, inspirations or contacts, please let me know!!

many thanks,

will.

I have in my posession one reel shot at a playgroup in Kent in 1976...my uncle shot it. Sadly I was only 3 so I wasn't quite shooting film back then.

But I suspect there *are* people here who did shoot film in the summer of 1976...

Here you can download some Kodachrome from the "Tour de France" that I shot on July 1976 in the Pyrenees

You might like to contact the IAC for help:

Or older famous cine/video clubs in the UK to see if any members have films shot in summer of 1976. Was it the summer with the record drought? It remember it was a very hot summer indeed.

I happen to have a family at a playground footage from that year. No idea who the family is, mind you, but I have it....

I've got tons of film from that year. It's all from California, beachy stuff, Malibu, SF, lots of white pants as I remember, but at least there is an MG in it! I'll look for it if you're interested. Some of it could probably fake for Britain. It was all white people around here back then (jk.)
