The most memorable part of the original star wars movie was the theater full of people that didn't get to see it (and didn't get refunds). The film melted right through one of the frames when the projector stopped near the very beginning of the movie. It started in the center and melted out to the edge. Then it was just a really bright white screen. That's all folks, sorry, please leave by the nearest exit. They shuffled everyone out the door so they could clean up the mess from the mini riot and have time to fix the film and projector before the next showing. Don't know if there was a second showing either that night.

I went to the first early showing of Revenge of the Sith in my area, it was crazy with the people dressing up, running around with lightsabers, even someone as batman with a kilt. Well, I guess someone didn't like the seats they got so they pulled the fire alarm and there was pandemonium as tons of angry fans from the whole multiplex, some with lightsabers, had to leave the theater, get the film delayed around 15 minutes. It was interesting as everyone just got along, said whatever just go same seats.

Well, two individuals decided to take someone elses seats.

That's when it really got crazy. People were yelling and chanting, lightsabers were ignited, I really thought a riot was about to start. An individual dressed as darth vader walked over and performed a "force choke" on the offenders who were soon escorted off the premises by cops. Then the usher had his moment introducing the movie, it was amazing experience then the movie started and felt the story, editing and acting ruined the second half of the night. Oh well.

STAR WARS was the reason I picked up my first Super-8 camera and decided I wanted to be a filmmaker.
