looks very good, but i only managed to download the first few seconds before the server shut me out, and now i have to wait hours before i can try again, no thanks. i would have gone for a softer telecine though. this looks both over sharpened and a bit too contrasty, which is all a matter of taste of course and it's pretty much the way tri-x looks either way.

Hi,

Christian, great looking stuff! Can I ask the correct way to set up the Optivaron zoom with the ultra wide-3? Do you need to have the lens on macro or just wide angle? Also where do you set the focus, infinity? I am going to use the same set up and have no time for a test, I know it's really easy to get wrong and have soft footage...
Cheers

hi Oliver!

I put the optivarons zoom on its widest angle (6mm) and the focus ring
on infinity and then focus with the ultrawide lens by
using the macrofocus ring..you have to be very
accurate with this because very small missalignments result in
a blurry focus
on the leicinas schneider optivaron the macrodocus ring is very loose,
so once i found the right position I use a small piece of tape
to hold it into its position..otherwise it jumps to easy out
of focus..

Hi,

Christian Do you use the split field setting on the eyepiece to judge?

Thanks

Small point: when you load a b&w cartridge it disables the 85 filter since the 85 is for colour correction purposes.

HI,

Not on a Leicina Special though (Christian's cam) which you set manually...

Tri X has always been my favorite stock. Your location is amazing. I know a hundred bands who would give up their left pinky to have their music video shot in a warehouse like that. When do you think your video will be done?
