Canon Interval Timer E

Post by Mike P »

I just got hold of a Canon Interval Timer for my 1014 AZ.
Has anyone got any advice for using it? The numbers on the timer obviously don't correspond to the intervals, which seem to increase parabolically.

Congratulations on a very rare find! It took me months to get hold of a Canon Interval Timer E for my 1014E. I was told by the seller that the '1' setting gives one second intervals and the '10' setting gives one minute intervals and that the rest, I could work out for myself. However, when I put it on '10' and let it click away while checking my stop watch, I found that the interval times were quite a bit longer than one minute. I can't recall offhand but they were something like one minute and 15 seconds or one minute and 30 seconds or thereabouts.

I have a couple and they all seem to be like that, as in the intervals don't match the numbers at all. but the time between intervals is constant. I just play with the dial and count in my head untill I find an interval that I want to work with.

It plugs into the remote jack on the side of the camera. Run it without film loaded and see what happens.

Shivers! Sorry for the multiple posts. Whenever I posed, it seemed to indicate that my posts didnt go through. Though now it seems apparent that they did.

At the cost of making myself really unpopular... there is one of these timers on ebay (330128500855) and as I write it has no bids, probably because the seller has mispelled the title.

Somebody give it a good home.
