Nizo 561 and Schneider UWL + Batteries

Post by timothyx »

Hi~

I just got my Nizo 561m in the mail! Looks (and sounds) like everything is working great. Shooting my 1st roll this weekend.

Q: There was a Schneider UWL Nizo 1 included with my camera. It appears to only work (in-focus) when I'm in macro mode, not when I zoom out, etc. Just making sure this is normal and not a problem with the lens.

Also: I'm using rechargeable AA ni-cads for the motor that are rated 1.2v. I noticed that the manual calls for 1.5v. Will this be a problem or effective my exposure?

I'd also like to comment on what a good experience I had with an ebay shop based in Germany called Super 8 Arena. The owner, Michael, was really upfront about the condition of the camera and promised to test it before shipping. Much better than an pretty unfortunate string of experiences I've recently had with Super 8 Camera Shop. Just a heads up if anyone's looking for gear:

Thanks!

Yes, UWL works in macro only. Handle with extreme care - the element is plastic.
