Filming with Canon Auto Zoom 814

Post by Pablo Alvarez Roth »

Hello,

Maybe someone can help me out or give me some recomendations, I plan to shoot a short film with my Canon 814 AZ, it´s my first time I will shoot in super 8 and with this camera, I will use reversible ektrachrome 64T

Can anyone give me any tips shooting with this camera, I am especially worried since some shots will be in the afternoon/night a nightclub pub/discotech interior were there is not much light, can I gide myself with the internal lightmeter the camera has? I am worried the shots could come out too dark?

please help, I know I should use an XL camera, But I can only use this camera for now, will these dark shots work or not. and any more tips usefully will be greatly apreciated

Thanks

Hey -- that's a great camera -- I used the same one for nighttime scenes but using the 500T neg -- not 64T. You might want to re-think your stock, if possible. I kept the aperture open all the way and some shots were good, some too dark...and that's using 500T!
