Quite true. There's definitely a higher signal to noise ratio over there and it's nice to have segregated forums.

As for the RED sensor, your earlier observation about still shots being relatively easy for CCDs carries a lot of weight. I guess we'll have to wait to see how well it runs with full motion over extended periods.

And I suspect that the fully configured rig will cost far more than $17,000 once decent primes, a storage array and monitoring system are added to the bill.
