Does anyone know this repair shop?

Post by Chris Lynch »

My Nizo 4080 needs a diagnosis and some work done, so I started looking for shops as close as possible to Boston, and of the shops that mention Nizo, the closest one I found so far is in Rhode Island:

Has anyone heard of them or used them?

Thanks,

If you contact them I'd be interested to know what you find out. I was considering them for repair of my 6080, but read more than a couple of references on the web, one saying that their Nizo repairman, a Mr. Cockerline was no longer with them, and another saying that he was, but was not working on 4080s or 6080s. Then, on another site I came across a phone number for him and called it. It had been disconnected. I haven't contacted the shop you mentioned.

I just called them. They say they can check out my 4080, but the guy I talked to said that with some Nizos there are parts they can't get, but his Brother knows more about that than he does. Of course, some repairs don't require parts, so depending on the problem, they might be able to help.

They give a free estimate, so I'm going to make the drive to Rhode Island to drop it off and see what happens. I'll post back everything I find out. So far they seem very friendly, and driving distance for me is a nice bonus.
