Bauer mini S

Post by tejas »

I own a Bauer mini S super 8 camera which I originally bought just for display and a conversation piece to sit alongside other rigs that serve the same non-purpose. However three of my cameras have crapped out in the past six months and I considered giving it a whirl. It is fully automatic (no zoom, focus, or aperture controls) and I do not believe it has ever been used. Original box, instructions, warranty card, etc.

Have any of ya'll ever used one of these. For some reason I always thought of it as a novelty but who knows maybe that tiny Schneider Xenoplan 1:1,8/15mm lens might yield some surprising results. I should add that I am an amateur and only shoot home movies so my needs are different than most.

Happy New Year,

Chances are, like all Bauer's I've owned, it doesn't read the new 64T.
Should do fine for Tri-x though. Unless you can get your hands on K40.
