Fuji Velvia + Leicina Special..awesome!

Post by Elmogs »

I finally got my roll of film back from Spectra over in Los Angeles. I used the Velvia 50 Fuji Super 8 in my Leicina Special and the results were stunning.
Super sharp with gorgeous colors. I filmed the Pike Market in Seattle and also went to visit the grave of Bruce and Brandon Lee. It was a nice overcast fall day and the footage revealed it exactly as I remembered. This is THE best film I have used next to K25 in my DS8. Actually in some ways better in that the Fuji is a tad bit more sensitive so you can get away with less light.
I am so impressed with this stock. It is light years better than the 64T.
Now I have to get some 100D for my Canon DS8.
Great, great film this Fuji. I have to get more before they run out.

Never used a Leicina but what a sweet combination that sounds. I'm currently shooting a 16 minute short with Velvia and the images are fantabulous--am using a Braun Nizo S800 and a Zeiss Ikon Moviflex MS8. Would really like to see some of your images from the Leicina.
All the best,
Victor

i really don't have the money for the velvia at the time, but really want to get some. aprox when do people expect it to be unavailable? upload some clips for us? i'm anxious to see your results!
