digibeta uses 4:2:2 while DV uses 4:1:1
to lay it out simply so that you may understand this concept, it means that in a 4:4:4 color space format, each pixel is precisely coloured. in a 4:2:2 color space format, colour is averaged every second pixel. with 4:1:1 colour is averaged every 4th pixel.

as for your bizarre "comparison" using a digital camera still and "transforming" it to "digibeta" and "dv", you have provided only proof that you understand even less about video formats and computer graphics, than you do about even the basic concept of colour spaces, and have misled not only yourself, but are arguing wildly in an effort to mislead others.
