Hi Steve. Thanks. I had thought Cinelab was cheaper than cinepost. I used Cinepost a while back actually. I was happy with transfer, however I had asked for the film to be transfered to a dvd data disc with the raw video file so I can edit on the computer, and instead I got a normal dvd to play on the dvd player. They straightened it out through. But it all cost me about $150 for only 150 feet.
Cinelab charges .25 a foot, with a $75.00 minimum, and since I only have about 200 ft. to have transfered, it should only cost about $75.00 if I'm figuring it right. Plus I had a couple of rolls to get processed, and it would be nice to have it all done at the same place. 8)

I was under the impression that you are a student, there's a $50 minium for students. I'm assuming you're talking about super 8 rates which are:Cinelab charges .25 a foot, with a $75.00 minimum, and since I only have about 200 ft. to have transfered, it should only cost about $75.00 if I'm figuring it right. .25 Super 8 Telecine Transfers (best light)
.18 Super 8 Telecine w/color correction
.14 Super/Reg. 8mm film chain transfers
I don't understand why best light is more than color correction. Whatever. It's cheaper to transfer 35mm and 16mm.

Don't forget about CineLab's film stock-process-transfer packages as advertised on their main page:
The full lineup of Kodak Super-8 products with attractive Film-Process and Transfer bundles!
S-8 Color negative or S-8 Ektachrome Cross Processed Stock, Process and Telecine transfer $43.00 / cartridge.
S-8 B+W Reversal Stock Process and Telecine transfer $35.00 / cartridge.
4 Cartridge minimum, tape and shipping extra.
Looks like a great deal to me and a fairly inexpensive way of shooting color negative and having it transferred.

Scene-by-scene corrected is what I used.
Do me a favor and ask for *no grain reduction* on the order form. I'd be very interested to see how your transfer looks, assuming the footage was reasonably well-shot on a decent camera. Mine was quite soft, and I suspect it's due to excessive grain reduction...
