Kodak prices online?

Post by woods01 »

Does Kodak keep a list of current prices for filmstock on their website?
I found the 'catalog' which just lists the stocks and numbers but no
prices.

It'd be handy to have a reference for budgetting rather than calling them up
getting put on hold.

I've never seen the prices of the super 8 or 16mm stock on the Kodak site. Its rather annoying...I think you'll have to give them a call to find out.

The prices change, most recently the prices have gone down. (at least in the States) Fuji and Kodak compete to pick up the large client-base of student filmmakers. You are best off calling both companies and asking for prices. Tell them you are doing tests for a big project and want to find an appropriate stock for it. They will try to win your business. Kodak offers a 30% discount to students and Fuji offers a 20% discount the last time I checked a couple months ago. The Kodak 30% gets close to the Fuji 20%, but Fuji offers free shipping for orders more than $400.00...

hope this helps,

Steve

Interesting. Through the Vancouver film co-op I can order film with a 20%
discount, which is apparently a nationwide arrangement with film co-ops
throughout Canada.

I hadn't considered the merits of playing Fuji vs Kodak. Thanks for the
tip :D
