Texas Tech Archival Film Dept. Orders WorkPrinter!

Post by MovieStuff »

I am tickled to announce that the Texas Tech University Archival Film department has put in an order for a WorkPrinter unit. They apparently have a butt load of Vietnam era home movies in both regular 8 and super 8 and needed something that would allow them to make super high quality transfers in both formats and a variety of speeds and still accomodate a reasonable budget. One aspect they were interested in was the ability of the WorkPrinter to reveal the entire frame which would make for a higher resolution image as well as getting the most out of the visual information in each frame. I am hoping they will post some of their clips when they start working with the unit. Some of this footage donated hasn't been seen in over 30 years. Should be interesting...
